Elgin City Pay The Penalty

Elgin CityElgin could lose out on their first ever play-off place if the players keep missing out on goal scoring opportunities from the penalty spot. Manager Ross Jack's patience is beeing over stretched by his players and their penalty kick errors as they have now had 13 misses from the spot in their last two seasons. Mark Nicolson and Jason Crooks both missed against Queen’s Park at the weekend to add to the misery felt by manager Jack.

He said: "I cannot criticise these guys as they stood up to the task in hand when others went quiet. However we missed 7 penalties last season and have now missed 6 this season and that is a pretty poor record. We have tried several different players but it is not really something you can practice in training as you cannot recreate game pressure. I took a few in my time and simply just blasted them and I had a decent record. I am looking for someone who can keep calm and just do that."
