C:WindowsTempphp2005.tmpNate Wedderburn will not be the most popular man on the bus home to Dunfermline from Dundee. He was sent off fin the first half for a two footed challenge which reduced the Pars to ten men and reduced their chances of gaining anything out the the game.  Dundee United ran out 1-0 winners, thanks to a goal from Simon Murray with just over ten minutes to go.  The three points gained allowed United to go joint top of the take with  Hibs although the Terrors have played one game more.

Dunfermline remain on non points and in second bottom place in the Championship. Not exactly what they were expecting on the road to Tannadice.  The face a fight to move away from the wrong end of the table after winning promotion to the Championship last season. The club and fans have fought hard to get back to where they consider they belong after a double demotion due to financial difficulties.  They do not want to be in the fight that is the play-offs which will impact on their bid to maintain their progress to the top flight.  United on the other hand are hoping to keep the pressure on Hibs so they can return to the Premiership in a single bound.  They have seen over the last two seasons that Hibs can be vulnerable to pressure for that final step the the top.
