Both Livingston and Dunfermline drew at the weekend but only one side will have been boosted by their result.

Livingston have a lot to learn about holding onto a lead. Twice they threw away a two-goal advantage over ten-man Airdrie United on Saturday in a game that ended 4-4. Manager Paul Hegarty will be making defence his priority as this was the third game running his side have lost four goals. Hegarty knows they will have to tighten up for tonight's visit of Dunfermline. He is also worrying over the fitness of defender Dave Mackay who limped off injured after just 14 minutes of Saturday's game and could well miss out against the Pars. However, Hegarty will be able to welcome back Chris Innes from suspension. The former Gretna player was banned for the weekend's game but is now back in contention. Hegarty said: "When you score four goals you expect to pick up the points. Our defending at times was ridiculous. To draw after leading so handsomely was poor."

Dunfermline will be full of confidence after forcing a Scottish Cup replay against SPL Aberdeen on Saturday. However, they will most likely have to make changes as striker Graham Bayne needed stitches in his eye and in his tongue and was forced off after 56 minutes against the Dons. The eye injury is the more severe and with it almost shut, it seems almost certain that he will miss out. Calum Woods is also missing through suspension while Graeme Holmes and Kevin Harper both remain ruled out through injury. East End Park manager Jim McIntyre said: "
If we can take confidence from our display against SPL opposition then hopefully we can boost our league form."
