The hard work had been done by Aberdeen when they took a two goal lead at Easter Road but it all unravelled in the last minute.

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood was down in the dumps from five o'clock on Saturday. He felt that the draw against Hibs at Easter Road felt more like a loss as his side contrived to lose a good two goal lead and head home with only a single point. His players suffered his wrath for what he considered to be a poor first half performance and it is a long way to Aberdeen in a confined space with an angry manager after failing to hang on for a much needed win. Hibs were not about to capitulate again and played right to the last second and salvaged a point thanks to Steven Fletcher's last minute goal

He said: "
It does feel like a defeat but we didn't deserve anything else. If you play that badly in the first half, when you can't pass the ball from A to B, then you've got a problem and you always get found out, and we got found out in the last ten seconds. We went 2-0 ahead and the game should be finished at this level. I was always worried the first half would come back at us. If you're not playing and passing it right then you're going to get punished and we did. It's a hard place to come to but we were 2-0 ahead, and 2-1 ahead with ten seconds to go."
