Diamonds Days Not Forever

Kenny Black is warning his side not to dwell on their Sunday Alba Cup win as they play Ross County again in Lanarkshire this coming Saturday in the First Division.
It's been a big week for football in Lanarkshire with Scotland's Under 21's starting a new era at Hamilton against Northern Ireland, albeit with a defeat, and Airdrie United winning the Alba Challenge Cup. After giving his players the day off on Monday, Kenny Black has told his team "business as usual" on Saturday when the Dingwall men are visitors to the Excelsior still smarting from their shoot out defeat.
Black said on Wednesday: "The Cup win is great for the area and shows how good First Division football can be but we can't gloat on Saturday. It will be a completely different game this weekend and if we thought Ross County were a handful in Perth then we can be certain they will be out for revenge on Saturday and will play at the very top of their game. They probably wanted the game in midweek after the defeat in the final on penalties had sunk in on Sunday night so I think the fans are in for more than just a mid-table sort of encounter on Saturday."
