Four weeks is a long time when you have to be sitting watching your teammates play without you. Craig Dargo hopes his purgatory ends on Saturday.

St Mirren striker Craig Dargo is hoping to make his first start in more than a month against Celtic this weekend. The frontman came on as a substitute in the 1-1 home draw with Hibs, having been sidelined for several weeks by a shoulder problem.

Dargo said: "It's good to be back because it gives the manager different options. I'm definitely ready to go if called upon for the match at Parkhead this weekend. I was out of action for a couple of weeks, but when the international break came along, I was able to train again. And, if the manager needs me this Saturday, I'd be delighted to be involved."
