Falkirk won yesterday but they are still fighting a battle against rumours that the company which owns and runs their stadium is in financial difficulty.

Falkirk Community Stadium Limited (FCSL) owns Falkirk's home ground and they have had to react quickly to rumours that they have gone into liquidation which would obviously put the future of the ground in doubt. They only recently agreed to build a new east stand as part of the long term plan to complete the ground. FCSL recently decided to restructure Falkirk stadium business which may have contributed to the start of the rumours. FCSL chairman Peter Eadie said: "
We have not gone into liquidation and the company is solvent. We continue to have discussions with our shareholders as to the correct route that will see the stadium completed and playing an important role within the community for many years to come. The message is very clear - it is business as usual at The Falkirk Stadium."

The stadium is run by Falkirk Council and Falkirk Football Club jointly as Falkirk Community Stadium Ltd. The club moved into Falkirk Stadium four years ago while it was still only partially built. The ground currently has just two stands and a capacity of about 6,000. The plan involved a restructuring of FCSL's assets, which will mean the council gaining the benefit of the existing rental and site development, while the club will receive control over playing facilities and spectator accommodation. This means that staff with the right expertise are running the appropriate sections of revenue generation at the ground.
