Cowdenbeath may be fifth and five points behind Albion but they could deliver a shock result today.

Cowdenbeath welcome table topping Stirling Albion when they are in fine form but are beset again by injuries which may impact on who can be stripped for action. Striker Gareth Wardlaw picked up a dead leg at Dumbarton and joined John Dempster and Paul McQuade on the sidelines. McQuade is still suffering with an ankle knock but he played in a reserve game in midweek and hopes are high that Wardlaw will be fit. Manager Danny Lennon said: "This is a very hard fixture but one typical of the Second Division programme. Albion have been stringing together some great results so the same teamwork we have shown in our last two games will be needed again but it is a game we have to believe we can win."

Albion travel to Cowdenbeath in still on a high after a 3-0 win over East Fife. Goalkeeper Scott Christie was dropped last week and Myles Hogarth looks set to retain the gloves and jersey. Albion manager Allan Moore said: "Myles has never let us down and I felt he deserved his chance. Scott is still a good goalkeeper but he faces a fight to win his place in the team and hopefully he will take that on the chin - we need competition at the club."
