C:WindowsTempphpAC90.tmpHibs manager Alan Stubbs is delighted that Dominique Malonga's recent good form has been recognised beyond Scotland with international recognition, as the striker is set to be part of the Congo squad to face Ethiopia in a double header World Cup qualifier.  Congo play away to Ethiopia on Saturday 14 November, before a return game on Tuesday 17 November. The winner will advance to the group stages of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Stubbs said: "It's great for Dom that he's been called up, and a reflection on his performances so far this season. His performances over the last two months have been superb and he deserves a lot of credit. He got a lift from being involved in the international set up last season and I'm sure he'll benefit from the experience again this time."

As a result Molonga will miss Tuesday night's re-arranged home league game  against Livingston, but the Stubbs remains confident his squad will cope with the absence. He said: "It's unfortunate that he won't be available but we have options to cover. There is a lot of competition for places in the squad at the moment and I'm sure whoever takes the starting spot will make the most of the opportunity."
