Two SPL sides will play in the first round of games as six other SPL teams are involved European competition and two sides were required to make up the numbers.

Two SPL sides were drafted into the first round of the Co-operative Insurance Cup and were rewarded with away games. St Mirren and St Johnstone will both be playing on the artificial turf at Ochilview which is shared by East Stirling and Stenhousemuir.

The games are to be played on 1 August.
