Peterhead managed to take Raith Rovers back north for another go at reaching the fourth round. It's a long way home to Kirkcaldy if you lose on a cold Tuesday night.

Peterhead's Scott Michie missed Saturday's 0-0 Scottish Cup draw in Kirkcaldy with a stomach injury and will miss the replay at Balmoor, but manager Neale Cooper does not have any other injury worries. He were indebted to a fine goalkeeping display from Paul Jarvie to keep them in the tie and a home gamewith Airdrie in the fourth round is the motivation for Cooper's side to progress. Cooper said "Paul was excellent, as was everyone in the team in getting a draw on Saturday. That was a huge result for us, although we will need to battle as hard as we did down there to win through. We have an opportunity to progress at home and also have a home tie in the next round so there will be plenty of excitement at this game".
Raith boss John McGlynn is not so lucky on the injury front with a number to worry about before the replay. Iain Williamson and Iain Donaldson have been ruled out with Dundee United on-loan man Jonny Russell also doubtful with a knock. Fellow on-loan player Kevin Smith could be rewarded with a start after an impressive performance at the weekend and Spanish youngster Xavier Corredera impressed from the bench and could force his way into McGlynn's starting plans. McGlynn said: "We did everything on Saturday but score. This is a very different game as Peterhead are much more dangerous on their own pitch but we will go there with confidence. We know the ground well after our time in the Second Division and know what to expect. We have Airdrie at home this Saturday in the league and it would be good if that was classed as a dress rehearsal for the next round of the cup."
