Come In To My Larder

Ten points separate Livi from the Spiders but will the same be true tonight?

Queen's Park act as hosts to top of the table Livingston and home side manager Gardner Speirs believes his side can notch up another win.  The Spiders have won three of their last five games to pull away from the bottom of the table and are sixth equal heading into the game. Speirs is confident they can continue their good run. He said: "They are a full-time team and have a number of players who are comfortable playing at a higher level. They are also at the top of the league, so their confidence is high. "It'll be a tough game but one we can go into with confidence given how we've played in the last two games. In the last game against Livingston, we reacted poorly to the first goal conceded and after that it was a struggle. But on our day, we can compete against anybody, let's not forget that. The important thing now is that we continue to sustain a good level of performance as well as a consistency in results. We've bounced back well from the defeat against Elgin and so we have to keep this run going."

Livingston manager Gary Bollan is not taking it for granted that he and his players will be driving away from Hampden with another three points. He has warned his side to be on their guard against the Spiders. The Lions were convincing 6-1 winners over Elgin at their last away game and will be firm favourites for the game at Hampden Park, despite Raffaele de Vita missing out through injury. Bollan said: "The players are looking forward to playing at Hampden. There is no excuses for us not to play good football and that should suit our style of play. But Queen's are a capable side and we will have to be on our guard."
