Aleksandrs Gramovics and Dmitrijs Borisovs add to the Latvian population in Scotland.

clyde jpegClyde have signed two players from Latvian football in a bid to help them survive in Division Two. The Bully Wee currently occupy bottom place and manager John McCormack has brought attacking midfielder Aleksandrs Gramovics from Tranzits Ventspils and striker Dmitrijs Borisovs from SK Blazma Rezekne to change that situation.
They will go straight into McCormack’s squad for Saturday's foot of the table game against Arbroath provided the necessary international clearance can be completed in time. McCormack said: "Both players completed the 2009 summer season in Latvian's top league with Dmitrijs scoring four times and Aleksandrs becoming a regular in the Latvian under-21 side." Broadwood Director of Football Neil Watt went on: "I have been working on these deals for a long time and I hope it can give our fans a boost and add interest to Clyde."
