Lauder becomes the Champions' first new signing ahead of next season as the club prepares not only to defend the domestic treble it secured for the third successive year last month, but most importantly, play in the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Lauder returns to Scotland for the first time since 2011. In her time abroad, Lauder has played in the Champions League for Apollon Limassol as well as competing for Aland United in the Finnish League and most recently for Mallbackens IF and Vittsjö GIK in the Swedish top flight.

Commenting on the signing of Lauder, Glasgow City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "Over the past few seasons we have been in a fortunate position of having four professional spots available at the club. It is fair to say that some have proved to be more influential signings than others, therefore it is imperative that we identify proven players of the highest standard. Once it became apparent that Hayley was interested in joining us, we very quickly moved to seal her signature. There are many positives to the signing of Hayley. She is an undoubted talent, she knows the League well, can play in a variety of positions and is familiar with a lot of her teammates from being on international duty together. I am sure Hayley will add quality to our play and I look forward to working with her."

Lauder said: "To get to the last 8 of the Champions League is a fantastic achievement and only adds to the successes of the club over recent years. I’m looking forward to getting started with a new challenge with the team in January, for what will be a very exciting season for the club. I hope I can add to the team’s success."
