It's shades of the 1930's with its collar and long sleeves and maybe a bit of a tribute to the team that won the 1938/9 Division 2 title and then were denied promotion because of WW II but Beath's new Umbro kit will sell like hot cakes on the back of only their second Post War League title which was achieved on Saturday with a 2-0 home win against Forfar Athletic.

Cowdenbeath new strips

The Fife club will wear the kit for the first time against Airdrie Utd at Central Park in their final league game of the season on Saturday May 5th. Once again Cowden have gone with red socks after years of sporting just the essential two club colours of blue and white.

Maybe Chairman Donald Findlay, once Rangers vice-chairman, has plans to make his hometown club aka The Blue Brazil the top team in red, white and blue north of the border!
