C:WindowsTempphpFC05.tmpSt Mirren have been successful in appealing against the red card shown to Yoann Arquin which cut short his debut for the Paisley club. The striker lasted just 37 minutes of the 2-1 win at his former club Ross County last Saturday as he was sent off after catching Staggies defender Lewis Toshney with a late tackle. But Saints have confirmed their appeal against referee Brian Colvin's decision was successful, with the red card downgraded to a yellow by the SFA's judicial panel, and Arquin is now free to face Dundee on Saturday. Arquin was able to play the full 90 minutes in St Mirren’s 1-1 home draw with Dundee United on Wednesday as the appeal was in progress.

The Buddies released a statement this afternoon which said: "Following this morning's appeal it has been confirmed that Yoann Arquin's red card has been reduced to a yellow card. Arquin faced a suspension after being red carded in last Saturday's Premiership match against Ross County at the Global Energy Stadium, but today's appeal decision means he is now available for selection for Saturday's Premiership match against Paul Hartley's Dundee side at St Mirren Park."
