Build On The Momentum

C:WindowsTempphpB680.tmpHearts manager Robbie Neilson is keen on his team to use the momentum gained in the win over Inverness when they play Partick Thistle on Saturday. Hearts put five goals past the Highlanders at home last Saturday to secure their first league win of the new season.  Firhill is always a tricky location to gather points and Neilson insists his players must now produce the goods away from home.

Neilson said: “
We had a great result on Saturday and everyone’s happy now, so we’re looking to carry that on into the game at Partick. It’ll be another tough game, they’re a really stable club and an established Premiership side. They’ve got a couple of players out so they’ll have to rotate their team, but it's always a tricky venue to go to We’ve been playing well, however, and we obviously got a big result at home on Saturday. We now have to go and prove we can do it away from home as well.  It’s been a big transition this summer. We’ve had a lot of new players coming in and it takes time to adjust. We’re in the process of doing so and it’s about keeping the form going."

A number of Hearts stars have been called up for international duty this week, with both Callum Paterson and Jack Hamilton set to jet off to Malta with the Scotland A-squad. Hamilton was recently handed the number one jersey at Tynecastle and Neilson was delighted to see the young goalkeeper get another call-up. He went on: "
I'm delighted with Jack and getting into the Scotland squad is fantastic for him. He was in the squad for their friendlies a few months ago, but to be in a qualifying squad is huge and I’m really pleased for him."
