livingston jpegIt is not every day that you get the chance to impress Manchester United. That is just what Livingston teenager Coll Donaldson has the opportunity as he as been offered a trial spell at the Old Trafford club. Their scouts have watched the young defender in action during recent reserve outings and have been impressed enough by the centre-half's performances to invite him to Old Trafford. Livingston will not stand in the youngster's way, with such opportunities arising very rarely, and he heads to England with their blessing.

Livingston chief executive Ged Nixon said: "
Coll was watched by Man United in a couple of reserve games and Martin Ferguson (chief scout) wondered if they could have a look at him. They're looking after him and he'll train with them before they decide what they want to do. It's a fantastic opportunity for the boy. No matter what happens in the end, it will let him see what's out there and he'll train in fantastic surroundings at Carrington."
