Hugh Dallas does not take kindly to suggestions he does not listen to complaints about referees

Hugh Dallas appears to be a bit touchy regarding claims by Motherwell's Jim Gannon that he ignored letters from the Motherwell manager in relation to refereeing performances. Gannon claims that he twice wrote to Dallas, in his capacity as head of referee development at the SFA, and is still waiting for a reply

However, Dallas robustly defended his side of the story. While getting is some subtle digs in at Gannon, Dallas said: "I have received one letter from Motherwell, a club with whom I've enjoyed a fantastic relationship, man and boy. There are some wonderful people there and that's why I was so surprised to hear what was said after the game with Dundee United. Mr Gannon's letter was received and responded to immediately, as all correspondence is from every club. A copy of the letter we received from Motherwell, and my reply, will be on the desk of the SFA chief executive this morning to prove this point. I also take it personally when people say we'd turn a blind eye to referee misdemeanours."
