dunfermline jpegThe Pars have secured the first signing for their new manager Jim Jefferies, They have now received  international clearance to sign Spanish goalkeeper Bernardo. A new face was required with first-choice keeper Paul Gallacher out for the rest of the season (shoulder injury) and Ian Turner heading back to Preston after his ill-fated loan spell was ended early by an injury. This left Chris Smith with no cover in Dunfermline's survival fight to stay in the SPL.

Bernardo was available for a move after leaving Spanish Segunda Division side SD Huesca in January. He has also played for Alaves, Tenerife and Recreativo Huelva.
