Commenting on the draw, City manager Scott Booth said: "Champions League draws never fail to disappoint. Given my history with FC Twente, I thought fate might just mean we would meet them, but Chelsea is certainly an equally exciting prospect. We know it is probably the toughest draw we could have faced but it is one the whole club is looking forward to."

In the meantime, City remain are focused on SWPL duty as they travel north to take on Aberdeen at Sunnybank Juniors on Sunday. After taking on the Dons only two weeks ago in the Scottish Cup, Booth knows his side will be tested. He said: "Facing Aberdeen again so soon after our cup win brings with it a few extra challenges. I am sure they will be looking for a wee bit of revenge but we are focused on our game and know the importance of remaining consistent in the league completion."
