The preparations for the new season have started for Ayr United

Ayr United are coming home to train to develop more links with the community they represent.  Newly installed Manager Mark Roberts wants his side to be more connected with the local fans and is moving their training back to the seaside town to help. The Honest Men, who have released goalkeeper Ryan McWilliams and striker Gareth Wardlaw, will be gathering for pre-season training on June 29 in Ayr.

Roberts said: "Our training will now be based in Ayr as opposed to Glasgow. We are Ayr United, so we should not be training in Glasgow. As a club, we need to be out in the community a bit more.  Throughout the season we will be training on a Tuesday and Thursday as it allows the players to have more time for a rest after a game and be better prepared for a Saturday."
