Inverness are keen to get a new striker in the squad for 2008-09 and their neighbours old striker may just be the job.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle want Andy Barrowman to be one of their players for the new season. Inverness manager Craig Brewster will be calling the Ross County striker on Monday in a bid to secure his first summer signing. With 29 goals scored for the Dingwall side last season it is not that surprising that Barrowman is a wanted man. His efforts helped County will promotion to the First Division last season. Inverness are a bit short of firepower as the start of the new season looms after losing Dennis Wyness and Dean McDonald. Barrowman has been mulling over the potential move while on holiday and now looks set to give Brewster an answer over the next 48 hours.
Inverness director of football Graeme Bennett said: "Craig came back from the Euros at the weekend and will speak to Andy Barrowman on Monday. We are quite hopeful he will become a Caley Thistle player. He is a young boy with a talent for scoring goals. He's scored goals in the Second Division and he would have something to prove in the SPL but that's the type of player Inverness is looking for." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)
