Commenting on signing for City, Montgomery said: "I'm obviously delighted to have signed with Glasgow City for the upcoming season and very excited about the challenge ahead. I think this is the best place for me to be right now to develop my understanding of the game and become a better player. The girls have been very welcoming and helpful so far and I look forward to getting started."

Glasgow City Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "With the season quickly approaching it was imperative that the depth of the squad was strong.  Having Alyshia Walker, Emily Thomson and Sarah Crilly ruled out along with Courtney Whyte and Erin Cuthbert unavailable for the PSG game due to being on international duty, then the squad does lack depth.  Kerry was a post season target however decided to remain at Spartans. We were quickly made aware that she had a change of mind and once she became a free agent it was an easy decision. Kerry is tenacious, athletic and adds height to the midfield area. I believe that we have lacked the correct balance in the middle of the park and that her signing rectifies the problem. I look forward to working with her and wish her great success with the club."
