C:WindowsTempphpAE3E.tmpEdward Ofere is looking to make club history by helping the Inverness to their first Scottish Cup final. Thistle take on 36-time winners Celtic in their first Scottish Cup semi-final since 2004 at Hampden next Sunday. The Nigerian striker only moved to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in February but already knows how big an achievement it would be for the club to make the final. He said: "It would be fantastic. It’s going to be massive. For me we have an opportunity to achieve something here and if we can do it, it would be really impressive. It’s going to be an open game and we’re going to give it all we've got. It’s not home or away, it’s an open field game so if we can play well tactics wise I think we will get it right. The games coming up are quite tough but we have to be tough as well."

Inverness also face champions Celtic this weekend on league business and Ofere believes it offers his side the ideal preparation ahead of their Hampden showdown. He said: "We will go in with no sign of weakness and give it all we’ve got. They are a good team but we will see how it goes on Saturday before we take it to the cup. If we can handle them well on Saturday it will give us a bigger idea of how they’re strategy is going to be in the cup semi-final so we just need to wait and see how the game goes."

Ofere had spells in Sweden, Denmark, Italy and Norway before heading to Inverness. He won a league title with Swedish club Malmö FF in 2010 which he claims will stand him in good stead ahead of the semi-final. He said: "It was good having that experience being in a team that wins a league title. So I’ll be excited if we could go to the final with the club. It will be massive and great for me too."
