Clubs are finding it difficult to keep players match fit with the lack of outdoor facilities available in the weather. However, Alloa have been making do ahead of Saturday's Cup game.

Alloa are meant to be playing St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday in the Scottish Cup, depending on the weather, and are making best use of what facilities they can find for training. They managed to get an indoor friendly game arranged against Junior side Kirkintilloch Rob Roy on Monday at Toryglen. The Wasps also played, and lost 4-0, a closed door game to Hamilton Accies on Saturday.
Despite the results, manager Allan Maitland saw it as ideal preparation for facing the Buddies. He said: "We are under no illusions of how difficult the St Mirren game will be but our away form has been decent this season and we will go to New St Mirren Park with a view to winning. The Hamilton game provided the players much needed match practice and the result did not matter as getting the players playing again is what counted."
